The short answer: visors that fit LS2 helmets
LS2 does not build a separate shield for every helmet it sells. It builds a shield for a family of helmets, and that is the single most useful thing to know before you order. Once you know which family your lid belongs to, the search stops being “what fits an LS2” and becomes “which of eight groups am I in”.
This guide sorts the LS2 range we stock into eight shared-shield fitment groups. Every group below is one we can equip completely, and the entries are ranked by how many helmet models share the shield, then by how much tint choice the group’s replacement listing actually carries.

- Most tint choice: the FF351 / FF352 / FF369 / FF384 / FF802 group, with twelve options on one listing.

Why LS2 helmets share shields the way they do
A visor aperture is expensive to tool. Once a manufacturer has a shell opening, a pivot mechanism and a locking detent that work, it reuses all three across as many helmets as the design will allow. That is why a single shield from LS2 frequently spans a touring lid, a sport lid and a budget lid that look nothing like each other on the shelf.
The consequence for you is that helmet name is a poor search key and helmet code is a good one. LS2 names get reused and revised — a Stream and a Stream II do not share a shield, and a Vector and a Vector II do not either. The FF-number is the stable identifier, and it is normally moulded into the shell near the visor pivot or printed on the label sewn into the chin strap.
There is a second consequence that is easy to miss. Because one shield serves several helmets, the pin-style anti-fog insert and the photochromic version follow the same grouping. If we list an insert for your group, it fits your helmet even though the listing name may mention a model you have never owned.
What the fitment groups in this guide are derived from
Each group below is the union of the fitment filings on the product pages that serve it, read from the live ClearLine catalogue. That is the catalogue’s own record of what a given shield fits, rather than a general compatibility chart copied from elsewhere. Where two listings serve one shield, the group is the union of both, and both are linked in the entry.
The tint column is deliberately narrower. Every number in it is the option count on one named replacement-visor listing, so that every row of the table is measured the same way. A group may well carry more finishes across its other listings; the column does not try to add them up, because a mixed count would not be comparable row to row.

Read the table left to right and stop at the row that names your helmet. The model count tells you how broadly that shield is shared, which is a fair proxy for how easy the part will be to find again in two years. The tint count tells you how much choice you have without leaving the group.
There is no price column and no rating column here, and both omissions are deliberate. Prices on this store are held in US dollars with a currency switcher on top, and several of these are variable products that publish a range rather than a single figure, so a scraped number would be misleading in two ways at once. Ratings would be worse: the reviews on our product pages come from the supplier, not from ClearLine customers, so ranking on them would be dressing up somebody else’s data as ours.
1. FF397 / FF801 / FT2 / Vector — the widest fitment in the range
This is the group to hope you are in. One shield covers the FF397, the FF801, the FT2 and the Vector, and the same part is filed against the Sedici Strada 2 and Strada 3 as well — six helmet models from a single mould. If you ride any of them, spares will stay easy to source long after the helmet stops being current.
The replacement visor for the FF397, FF801 and Vector carries ten finishes: Clear, Black, Gold, Silver, Rainbow, Revo Blue, Revo Red, Revo Deep Blue, Revo Deep Red and Revo Silver. The wider listing that adds the FT2 and the Sedici models is the same shield filed against more helmets, which is where the six-model count comes from.
Only one of those ten finishes is a plain clear. That ratio is worth pausing on, because it is typical of the whole aftermarket and it is the reason this guide keeps flagging the clear option in the table. Most of what is on offer is a mirrored or iridium finish, and most of what riders actually need for a British commute is not.
What else the group takes
The group takes a pin-style insert as well. The anti-fog insert for the FF397, FF801 and Vector is the fix if your problem is misting at low speed rather than glare, and it is a different purchase from a tinted shield rather than an alternative to one. 2. FF351 / FF352 / FF369 / FF384 / FF802 — the most tint choice
Five helmets share this shield, and the listing that serves them carries more finishes than anything else in the LS2 range we stock. It ranks second only because the group above it fits one more helmet model; on choice alone it would be first.
The replacement visor for the FF351, FF352, FF369 and FF384 lists twelve options: Transparent, Smoke, Golden, Silvery, Clear Silvery, Purple Gold, Rainbow, Revo Clear Blue, Revo Clear Red, Revo Dark Blue, Revo Dark Gold and Revo Dark Red. The FF802 is filed against the same shield through the group’s other listings.
Note the naming: the plain option here is called “Transparent” rather than “Clear”, and “Clear Silvery” is a light mirror, not a clear shield. That distinction catches people out regularly. If you want an unmodified view, “Transparent” is the one you want, and “Clear Silvery” is not it despite the word in the name.
This group is well served for the other two product types. There is an anti-fog insert for the FF351, FF352 and FF384, and a photochromic visor for the same three models if you would rather one shield handled both ends of the day. 3. FF320 Stream / FF328 / FF353 Rapid / FF800 — the volume group
The FF320 Stream and FF353 Rapid are among the most common LS2 helmets on British roads, and the FF328 and FF800 share their shield. Four models, ten finishes, and all three product types available makes this the group most riders reading this will land in.
The replacement visor for the FF320 Stream, FF328, FF353 Rapid and FF800 lists Clear, Blue, Deep Black, Gold, Silver, Rainbow, Revo Clear Blue, Revo Clear Red, Revo Deep Blue and Revo Deep Red. “Deep Black” is the dark-smoke option in this group’s naming, and “Blue” is a tinted finish rather than a mirror.
Because the Stream name was reused for the later FF808 Stream II, this is the group where checking the code rather than the name matters most. An FF808 Stream II does not take an FF320 Stream shield. If your helmet says Stream on the chin bar, look for the FF-number before you order anything.
Fogging on the FF320 group
The anti-fog insert for the FF320, FF328 and FF353 fits every helmet in this group. 4. FF811 Citation II / FF811 Vector II — the newer touring shield
Two helmets share this one, and both are recent. The Citation II and the Vector II use a common shield that is not interchangeable with the older Vector covered in group one, which is exactly the trap the II suffix exists to warn you about and exactly the trap people fall into anyway.
The replacement visor for the FF811 Citation II and Vector II carries eight finishes: Clear, Black, Dark Blue, Red Gold, Silver, Rainbow, Revo Blue and Revo Red. That is fewer than the groups above it, but the range covers the useful span from a plain shield through to a full mirror.
The anti-fog insert for the Citation II and Vector II completes the set. Both of these helmets are marketed for touring and commuting rather than track use, so the insert is arguably the more useful of the two purchases for most owners — misting on a wet commute is a more frequent problem than glare on a British morning.
5. MX701 Adventure / MX701 Explorer — the adventure shield
The MX701 family is the odd one out here, because an adventure helmet’s shield has to work with a peak above it and often with goggles instead of it. The Adventure and the Explorer share a shield, and the Explorer Carbon is filed against the same part.
The replacement visor for the MX701 Adventure and Explorer lists five options: Clear, Clear Blue, Clear Red, Clear Silver and Deep Black. That is the smallest range in this guide, and it is the honest reason this group sits at five rather than higher despite fitting two models.
The narrow range is not really a defect for the use case. Adventure riders tend to run a plain shield and add goggles or a dark peak position when the sun is low, rather than swapping to a mirror. The anti-fog insert for the MX701 Explorer matters more here than tint choice does, because a helmet worn at low speed off-road mists faster than one at motorway pace.
6. FF908 Strobe II — the flip-front with the most options
The FF908 Strobe II is a single-model group, but it carries as much tint choice as groups fitting four times as many helmets. Ten finishes on one listing is unusual for a flip-front, where the shield has to clear a hinged chin bar and the tooling is therefore less commonly shared.
The replacement visor for the FF908 Strobe II lists Clear, Black, Blue, Purple, Gold, Silver, Red Gold, Revo Blue, Revo Red and Revo Silver. A flip-front is normally bought by a commuter or a tourer, so the plain option and the light tints are likely to be the useful end of that list rather than the mirrors.
The anti-fog insert for the FF908 Strobe II is worth more attention on a flip-front than on a full-face. Riders who flip up at every junction are cycling warm breath across a cold shield repeatedly, which is the fastest way to mist one. An insert holds a still air gap against the shield and largely removes the problem.
7. FF808 Stream II — the current Stream
The FF808 Stream II is the helmet most often confused with the FF320 Stream in group three, and the two shields do not interchange. If you bought a Stream in the last few years it is likely to be an FF808; if it has been in the garage longer, check the code before ordering.
The replacement visor for the FF808 Stream II carries nine finishes: Clear, Black, Dark Blue, Gold, Silver, Red Gold, Rainbow, Revo Blue and Revo Red. It ranks seventh rather than eighth on the model-number tie-break, having drawn level with the group below it on tint count.
The anti-fog insert for the FF808 Stream II is listed separately, and there is a photochromic shield for the group as well. Between the three you can equip this helmet for a British winter without needing a second lid.
8. FF906 Advant — the modular with the full set
The FF906 Advant closes the list. One helmet, nine finishes, and all three product types available, which is a more complete set than several groups fitting more models can manage.
The replacement visor for the FF906 Advant lists Clear, Clear Blue, Clear Red, Clear Silver, Light Black, Deep Black, Deep Blue, Deep Red and Silver. This group’s naming is the most systematic in the range: “Clear” plus a colour is a light mirror, “Deep” plus a colour is a heavy one, and “Light Black” and “Deep Black” are the two smoke densities.
Both other product types are available. There is an anti-fog insert for the FF906 Advant and a photochromic visor for the FF906 Advant. On a modular helmet used year-round, the photochromic option removes the roadside swap entirely, which is the argument for it over a second shield.
What is deliberately not in this list
Three parts of the LS2 range we stock did not qualify, and saying which is more useful than padding the list to ten. The open-face family — the OF603 Infinity II, the OF618 Verso II, the OF608 and the OF562 Airflow — has replacement visors but no pin-style insert, so it fails the three-type entry gate. The OF626 Compass is the exception with a photochromic option, and still has no insert.
The FF325 / FF370 / FF386 / FF394 family has replacement shields only. The FF323 Arrow and FF327 Challenger are the mirror image: we list an insert for them but no replacement visor. All of these are real fitments and all of them are worth buying if they are what your helmet takes; they simply are not comparable on the criterion this list ranks by.

Choosing a tint, and what UK law actually turns on
The legal test in Great Britain is the marking on the individual eye protector, not its colour. An eye protector is treated as authorised for road use if it carries a BS 4110 grade with an approved certification mark, or an ECE 22.05 approval — and that mark sits on the item itself. Note that BS 6658 is a helmet standard, not a visor standard; a listing that cites it for a shield is citing the wrong document.
Because the mark is the test, we do not describe any item in this guide as road legal, approved or certified. We do not verify markings item by item, and a seller who offers an eye protector as authorised when it is not of a prescribed type commits an offence under section 18 of the Road Traffic Act 1988, which makes it an offence to sell one that is “not of a type prescribed under this section as authorised for such use”.
What can be said plainly is the practical part. Iridium, mirrored and dark-smoke finishes transmit too little light to be legal for road use in the UK, and that holds in daylight as much as after dark. The Highway Code’s rules for motorcyclists make the same point from the safety side, warning that eye protectors “can limit your view when riding, particularly in bright sunshine and the hours of darkness” and pointing riders at the Motor Cycles (Eye Protectors) Regulations.
So what should you actually buy?
For a road bike used in Britain, a plain shield is the default and everything else is a supplement. Keep a clear one fitted, and treat a dark or mirrored finish as track and off-road equipment. If you were specifically looking at a mirror finish, read whether iridium and mirrored visors are road legal first. It is a short piece and it will save you buying something you cannot use on the commute you bought it for.
Fitting, and keeping the shield you bought
Every group in this guide uses a quick-release mechanism of some kind, and none of them needs a tool. The pattern is the same across the range: open the shield to its highest detent, release the catch on each side, then lift the shield away from the pivot. Refitting is the reverse, and the shield should click positively rather than needing force.
The commonest damage we see described is not impact damage. It is fine scratching from dry-wiping a dusty shield with a glove or a paper towel, which ruins a visor faster than a stone chip does because it scatters light across the whole field of view. A shield that has been wiped dry twice on a motorway run can be past saving.

Anti-fog inserts need slightly different handling. The coated inner face is soft and should be dried by patting rather than wiping, and it should never meet a solvent cleaner. Treated properly an insert outlasts several seasons; treated like glass it clouds in weeks.
Frequently asked questions
How do I find my LS2 model code?
Look for an FF, MX or OF number moulded into the shell near the visor pivot, or printed on the label sewn into the chin strap. That code is the reliable identifier. The marketing name on the box is not, because LS2 reuses names across generations that do not share a shield.
Will a Stream visor fit a Stream II?
No. The FF320 Stream sits in group three and the FF808 Stream II sits in group seven, and the two shields are not interchangeable. The same warning applies to the Vector and the Vector II, and to the Advant and the Advant II. Whenever a name carries a II, treat it as a different helmet entirely.
Is a photochromic visor a replacement for a tinted one?
For road use it is usually the better of the two, because it is plain when the light drops instead of staying dark. It is not instant, though — the transition takes tens of seconds in each direction, and it is driven by ultraviolet light rather than by brightness. That is why one behaves differently in the open than it does behind glass.
Does an anti-fog insert fit any visor in my group?
It fits any shield in the group that carries the mounting pins, which on these fitments is the standard arrangement. The insert is matched to the shield rather than to the helmet, so a group that shares a shield shares its insert. Check that the shield you are fitting it to has the pin holes before ordering.
What if my LS2 helmet is not in any of the eight groups?
It is likely to be in one of the families listed under what is deliberately not in this list, most often the open-face range or the FF325 family.
