The helmet model name is printed inside the chin bar, under the lining or on the strap label. If yours isn’t listed, check the visor finder — visors are model-specific and a part from a neighbouring model usually won’t clip in.
Which tint should I choose?
- Blue, Revo Gold, Rose Red, Ice Blue, Gold, Revo Purple, Revo Deep Blue, Revo Red, Revo Blue, Silver, Red, Revo Silver, Rainbow — A mirrored finish. Cuts glare hard and hides your eyes. Mirrored and iridium finishes transmit too little light to be legal for road use in the UK, day or night — treat them as off-road, track and closed-course choices.
- Dark Black — Sunglasses-level tint. It transmits too little light to be legal for road use in the UK — track and off-road only. Not for night use.
- Anti Blue Lens — Filters blue light to cut eye strain on long rides. Not a mirrored or dark tint.
- Brightening Lens — Lifts contrast on dull, grey days and at dusk. Makes edges and potholes easier to pick out.
- Light Black — A gentle tint. Takes the edge off bright days without going full sunglasses.
- Clear — The everyday choice. Full visibility day or night, and the safe default if you only buy one.

How do I fit it?
Open the visor fully, release the side mechanism on each side, lift the old visor away and clip the new one in until it clicks. It takes a couple of minutes and needs no tools. Peel the protective film off both sides before your first ride.
Is this legal on the road?
What decides it is the approval marking on the individual visor — a BS 4110 grade with an approved certification mark, or an ECE 22.05 approval — not the tint name. These are unbranded aftermarket visors and we cannot confirm the marking on any individual item, so we do not offer them as authorised for road use. Check the marking on the visor you receive. Dark smoke, mirrored and iridium finishes transmit too little light to be legal for road use in the UK, and are a bad idea at night whatever the local rule says — treat them as off-road, track and closed-course daytime choices. It’s just as the description says and works well on my Shoei NXR2 helmet
The shield is cleaner than expected and the packaging was good too. Compared with the genuine shield it is a bit thinner, but it fastens neatly and the pinlock fits well. There are fine vertical scratches on the pinlock, but not enough to be a problem. The genuine one is better quality, but since the price is one tenth I think it is good to buy here often and swap them out.

Best value for money. I cannot speak to durability, but there is no distortion. It is the same as the aftermarket mirror shield sold on Amazon, and cheaper than Amazon and good.
Item as described. I thought the visor would be clear when not dark, but it has a light blue tint. However it is photochromic and works well. Quality is very good and it fits the Shoei X-15 helmet very well. My only wish is to be able to speak to the seller directly; that would make the after-purchase experience more desirable than talking to an AI bot telling me to return the item straight away.
Pretty darn good for 30% of the price of the original shoei brand. Let’s see how long the plastics stay clear

I bought the blue photochromic shield for the SHOEI/Z-8. Fitting the shield and opening/closing/locking are no problem. As for the photochromic effect, my impression is that it doesn’t get as dark as I thought. Still, considering the price, I’m glad I bought it.

Looks good, and feels like the original too. The fit on the X-SPR pro and the function of the photochromatic effect are absolutely flawless. I cannot report on durability and cleaning yet, but at first glance this is a sensational price/performance ratio.
