Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TheTreasureHub LLC (a Wyoming limited liability company, United States), operating the ClearLine store at clearlinemoto.com (“ClearLine”, “we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you visit our store, place an order, or contact us. ClearLine sells aftermarket, unbranded motorcycle helmet replacement visors and face shields to customers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and worldwide. Because we work with overseas fulfilment partners, some of your information is shared with them so your order can be shipped directly to you, as described below.
This policy covers privacy only. Our separate Shipping Policy, Returns & Refund Policy, and Terms of Service govern ordering, delivery, and returns; nothing in this Privacy Policy limits or waives any consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.
By using our website or placing an order, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the store or submit personal information to us.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller (and, under US state privacy laws, the “business”) responsible for your personal information is TheTreasureHub LLC. You can reach us regarding privacy matters at support@clearlinemoto.com or by mail at 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801-6317, USA. We handle privacy enquiries primarily by email.
What personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Contact information — your name, email address, and (where you provide it) phone number, given at checkout, when creating an account, when subscribing to marketing, or when you contact support.
- Shipping and billing information — the shipping address and billing address associated with your order.
- Order and transaction details — the products you order (for example, visor model, tint type, and stated helmet compatibility), order value, currency, order history, fitment questions you ask us, returns, and related correspondence.
- Payment information — payment is handled by our payment processors. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the card type and last four digits, or a transaction reference). We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our systems.
- Account information — if you create an account, your login credentials and saved preferences or addresses.
- Communications — the content of emails and support messages you send us, including pre-order fitment and compatibility enquiries.
- Device, usage, and cookie data — your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, the currency/region shown to you, and interactions with our store, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
How we collect your data
- Directly from you — when you place an order at checkout, create an account, subscribe to marketing, ask us to confirm fitment before ordering, or otherwise contact us.
- Automatically — as you browse the store, through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies used by us and our platform and analytics providers.
- From third parties — our platform (Stripe), payment processors, and analytics/marketing tools may provide us with information such as fraud-screening signals, delivery status, and aggregated usage data.
Why we process your data (purposes and legal bases)
We use your personal information to:
- Process and fulfil your orders — including passing your name and shipping address to our overseas fulfilment partners and shipping carriers, arranging delivery, and providing tracking. Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days before dispatch.
- Take payment and prevent fraud — through our payment processors and platform’s fraud tools, and to manage chargebacks and disputes.
- Provide customer support — including answering fitment and compatibility questions, handling returns within our 30-day returns window, and resolving issues with faulty or incorrectly sent items.
- Manage your account and remember your preferences and region/currency.
- Send transactional messages — order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and returns communications.
- Send marketing — where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law, and always with an option to unsubscribe.
- Operate, secure, and improve the store — including analytics, troubleshooting, and preventing abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations — such as tax, accounting, customs, and consumer-protection requirements, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to process and deliver your order and handle returns); consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies, which you may withdraw at any time); legal obligation (for record-keeping, tax, and compliance); and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the store, prevent fraud and abuse, and manage disputes), balanced against your rights and freedoms.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with the following categories of third parties so we can run the store and fulfil your orders:
- Stripe — our e-commerce platform provider, which hosts the store and processes personal data on our behalf as a service provider/processor.
- Payment processors — such as Stripe Payments and PayPal, which process your payment directly. Card details are handled by these processors and are not stored by ClearLine.
- Overseas fulfilment / dropshipping suppliers — because our items ship directly from overseas fulfilment partners, we transmit the information needed to fulfil your order (typically your name, shipping address, contact details, and the item ordered) to these partners so they can pick, pack, and dispatch your visor.
- Shipping and logistics carriers — postal and courier services that receive your name and delivery address (and sometimes contact details) to deliver your parcel, clear customs where applicable, and provide tracking.
- Analytics and marketing tools — providers that help us understand site usage and, where permitted, deliver and measure marketing.
- Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, legal advisers, and government, customs, or law-enforcement bodies where required by law or to protect our rights.
- Business transfers — a successor entity if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We require providers who process personal data on our behalf to use it only for the purposes we specify and to keep it secure.
International data transfers
ClearLine is based in the United States, and our fulfilment partners and some service providers are located outside your country, including overseas manufacturing and dispatch locations. This means your personal information — in particular your name, contact details, and shipping address — will be transferred to and processed in the United States and in the countries where our fulfilment and shipping partners operate. These countries may have data-protection rules that differ from those in your home country.
Where we transfer personal data out of the EU, the UK, or other regions with transfer restrictions, we rely on recognised safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum where applicable), or transfers to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of protection. You can contact us at support@clearlinemoto.com for more information about the safeguards that apply.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the store (for example, to keep items in your cart and remember your region and currency), to analyse how the store is used, and, where permitted, for marketing. Cookies may be “strictly necessary” (required for the site to function) or optional (analytics and marketing).
You can control cookies through:
- The cookie or consent banner and preferences on our store, where available in your region;
- Your browser settings, which let you block or delete cookies; and
- Opt-out tools offered by analytics and advertising providers.
Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the store work. Where required by law, we set non-essential cookies only with your consent.
How long we keep your data
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy. In general:
- Order and transaction records are kept for as long as needed to fulfil the order and handle returns, and thereafter for the period required by tax, accounting, customs, and consumer-protection laws.
- Account information is kept while your account is active; you can ask us to close it.
- Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your query and for a reasonable period afterwards.
- Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
When personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your privacy rights
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): you have the right to access your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected (rectification); to have data erased in certain circumstances; to restrict or object to certain processing (including direct marketing); to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EU, your national supervisory authority).
If you are a resident of California or another US state with privacy legislation (for example, the CCPA/CPRA and similar laws): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to access and receive a copy of your personal information; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising; and not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. We do not knowingly process sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger a right to limit its use; where such a right applies, you may contact us to exercise it.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
ClearLine does not sell your personal information for money. However, some analytics and advertising cookies may, under certain US state laws, be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out by adjusting your cookie preferences where our banner is available, by using browser-based opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where supported, or by contacting us at support@clearlinemoto.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share”.
Marketing and unsubscribing
We send marketing emails only where permitted by law or with your consent. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us at support@clearlinemoto.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping updates.
Children’s privacy
Our store is intended for adults and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 in the United States, or below the applicable age of digital consent in your country (which, in the EU and UK, ranges from 13 to 16 depending on the jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@clearlinemoto.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
How we protect your data
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks, and rely on our platform and payment processors’ security controls, including encryption of payment data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How to exercise your rights or contact us
To make a privacy request or ask a question about this policy, contact us at support@clearlinemoto.com or by mail at 30 N Gould St, Sheridan, WY 82801-6317, USA. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request where the law permits, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date and post the new version at clearlinemoto.com. Material changes may be communicated by additional notice where required by law. Please review this policy periodically.
